Maine Dance Medicine is a fee-for-service practice. Every session is one-on-one with Laura for the full hour. No referrals or prior authorizations needed. You won’t have a PT dividing their time between patients. You get the dedicated clinical attention your body needs, and you leave with a plan.
Laura's approach is built on two decades of experience and a concentration in Functional Manual Therapy, a specialty certification through the Institute of Physical Art. It's a hands-on, whole-body clinical method, and a core reason her work goes deeper than what you’d experience with a standard PT.
Services
Initial Comprehensive Evaluation is the required first session. Includes a full Functional Manual Therapy assessment, diagnosis, and initial treatment planning.
Follow-up Treatment Sessions are dedicated one-on-one treatment using Functional Mobilization and neuromuscular re-education
Performance Screen is a comprehensive dance-specific screen, part of MDM's focus on injury prevention and keeping you on stage.

At your evaluation, Laura will tell you how many visits to expect. Treatment plans are built around your rehab needs and your budget. The more sessions you commit to, the more you save per visit.
Insurance
We're out-of-network with all health insurance carriers, which means we can't bill your insurer directly. We provide a superbill after each visit, so you can submit it to your insurance company to request out-of-network reimbursement. If you have questions about the process, ask at your appointment.
Payment
Payment is collected at the start of each session. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, UnionPay, JCB), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
